{"id":1794,"date":"2026-08-30T09:38:06","date_gmt":"2026-08-30T00:38:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yorikido.com\/?p=1794"},"modified":"2026-08-30T11:55:56","modified_gmt":"2026-08-30T02:55:56","slug":"the-rh-factor-reunion-japan-tour-united-hard-groove-hargrove","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yorikido.com\/?p=1794","title":{"rendered":"The RH Factor Reunion Japan Tour &#8211; United Hard Groove, Hargrove"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The RH Factor reunion Japan tour took place from August 13 to 16.<br \/>\nThese four days coincided with Obon, a traditional Japanese Buddhist festival when ancestors are believed to return to their families.<br \/>\nSo, Roy JOINED Aida and the other members of this wonderful &#8220;family&#8221; band in Japan, a country he had always loved.<br \/>\n&#8220;You can\u2019t talk about 21st-century jazz without mentioning the 2003 album <em>Hard Groove<\/em>,&#8221; says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shun-ishiwaka.com\/\">Shun Ishiwaka<\/a>, a rising star on the global jazz drumming scene.<br \/>\nLast year, Ishiwaka performed with Robert Glasper in Tokyo at the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/jnoj.jp\/\">Jazz Not Only Jazz<\/a>&#8221; special live performance. As for Glasper, he consistently references this monumental work with the utmost respect, considering it as a precursor to his own masterpiece, <em>Black Radio<\/em>.<br \/>\nThat&#8217;s exactly right, Shun!
